    hello clem!

i must say the EP got me really excited especially when i listened to the sample tracks. however, i noticed that there are only 5 tracks listed. how come The Sight of Love is not included in the EP? i am so in love with that song. i thought this was going to be the carrier single. what happened? also are the distribution outlets listed here is final or is it just on a limited time period only? thanks so much! love your music. congrats on releasing the EP.

I just finished reading the article “Clementine Comes Clean” because I really didn’t know what happened because I wasn’t really following OnL back then. This is why.

When I heard a couple of songs from OnL, I felt it sounded different, but some songs were unfitting. The more songs I listened to, the more I felt that there were two different souls influencing the band. So I left it at that and downloaded OnL songs sparingly, never the entire album. Right now there’s only one song (Let Me) in my player. I only heard the song through a random wedding video. One afternoon I saw this short guy with unruly hair and JL glasses in the news looking troubled and heard that OnL were suing him for copyright issues. When I saw the Mcoy guy I felt he’s a bully, a person who handles his insecurities immaturely. Sad, another good band down the corporate drain.
Couple of years after, I found The Camerawalls and have never parted from them ever since. I shared it with a friend and he informed me that the frontman is the former OnL member. The immediate thought that came to me was that he must be the sole reason why I ‘kind of’ liked OnL, and probably why I am in love with The Camerawalls.

This may be out of line but Clementine is better off now, and that’s probably an understatement. Being creatively suppressed is probably the most depressing thing as an artist. It’s quite obvious that the allegations were based partly on insecurity, a bad case of inferiority complex, and probably a dash of immaturity. Mostly indifference. People grow apart, it’s a sad sad fact of life. Some people handle it well, some just can’t. I don’t personally know the guy but I am happy for him and his bandmates. I wish nothing but the best for this band.

Oh and by the way, my mom still doesn’t believe me that you guys are a local band.

i picked up your ep yesterday (after throwing a mini fit at powerbooks because when i asked about it they said they don’t have it and i looked around and saw it was being covered by flyers and i told them: “this is what i was looking for you should display it properly and tell your manager to inform all staff about deliveries”). this was in powerbooks megamall.
anyways i went to ortigas today and your cd played all the way. and back. and did i mention i live in sp, laguna, which is like an hour away, plus an hour with friday traffic. so if my math is correct, your cd played in loop about 500 MILLION TIMES. and i loved every second of it. i am certifying myself as a minister or pastor or whatever online so i can marry myself to your music. you’re invited to the reception btw. EPIC!

Hey guys, do you have any gigs in Manila in late December 2010 or January 2011? I’m travelling from Australia again and hope to catch a gig! Let me know if you do and I’ll be sure to bring some friends down.

    Cheers

Hello! Just today, I was looking for a music related to Song of Maria Clara for our PI100 subject. I saw you perform it with girls playing banduria. Just a few minutes after it, I found myself admiring your music; it made me want to hear more from you. Thanks for posting all those songs. I hope you continue to write meaningful songs, not of those commercial kinds. I’ll tell people about you.

Hi Chammy, nice of you to stumble upon our music thru Jose Rizal. We are coming out with a new album this November. Watch out for it.

I would like to ask you something. I really haven’t followed you on your OnL days, but it seemed to me like you have made most of the songs there (the reason I love the Camerawalls, too). I just heard again your song Heaven Knows (This Angel Has Flown), did you compose that song? Are you completely okay with somebody singing the songs that you made (this is if you composed the majority of OnL songs). The usual mindset of someone making a song is he wants to sing it, especially when that song meant a lot to him. Do you regret now making that decision of not singing the songs you made during your OnL days? The songs you made are effing awesome but you didn’t sing it, that must’ve sucked a lot.

Yes, I solely wrote the words and music to Heaven Knows (This Angel Has Flown), even if it was (out of tradition and goodwill) credited as well to a former band mate. I never regretted anything I did in my past endeavors as a musician since I am fully aware of my roles, even with my former band. It would be a selfish move to want to sing everything I wrote on record.
