“My Life’s Arithmetic Means” on SEA INDIE Compilation

Lilystars Records lovingly contributed some tracks from its roster for an all Filipino indiepop compilation album released by SEA Indie, a net label bent on raising awareness in the indiepop scene in Southeast Asia. A two-volume, 26 track internet release downloadable for free.

“Birthday Wishes” Wins the John Lennon 71st Birthday Songwriting Contest

Clementine was announced as the grand prize winner yesterday and will receive a new electric Epiphone “Inspired By” John Lennon Casino guitar. It’s for the entry “Birthday Wishes” which appeared in the EP Bread and Circuses. Here’s the winning piece:

ISC Names Clementine As A Semi-Finalist

The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) recently announced their 2010 finalists and semi-finalists and named Clementine as a semi-finalist in the Folk/Singer-Songwriter Category for the song Bread And Circuses. Probably the only Filipino songwriter in the list — a long shot well worth trying.

ISC is an annual song contest whose mission is to provide the opportunity for both aspiring and established songwriters to have their songs heard in a professional, international arena. Read more…

For the Month of Love and Summery Days

In anticipation of the month of love and summery days, our sights are set to producing a new indie music video for our next single “A Gentle Persuasion“.

With a little help from artist friends and establishments we were able to schedule a two-day shoot this coming weekend. Opening For China Crisis

A few weeks back we learned, through recommendations by friends, that the management of Megaworld and Eastwood City were exploring to invite The Camerawalls as one of the front acts for the China Crisis shows here in Manila. It’s not until a couple of days ago we’re given a green light on this opportunity.

On Januray 22 at 7:30 PM, we will be opening for them at The Venice Piazza, Mckinley Hills at Fort Bonifacio. Our second time to do so for a well-known foreign act, the first being Club 8. China Crisis is a significant act during the New Wave movement in the 80s. Best of all you can hear and watch them live for free! See poster for details…

The Dragonfly Collector

Sometime in October of 2010, I pondered on kick-starting a personal blog. I gave in to the egging of some friends and a couple of weeks later I was publishing entries for Dragonfly Collector

It’s a place in the web that serves as my online diary where I post anything from my day to day ordinary living ranging from music, films, books, travels, literature, people, or just about anything I find inspiring or amusing. Every week I also post acoustic demos of cover songs in a section called Cover To Cover.
