ISC Names Clementine As A Semi-Finalist
March 8, 2011
The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) recently announced their 2010 finalists and semi-finalists and named Clementine as a semi-finalist in the Folk/Singer-Songwriter Category for the song Bread And Circuses. Probably the only Filipino songwriter in the list — a long shot well worth trying.
ISC is an annual song contest whose mission is to provide the opportunity for both aspiring and established songwriters to have their songs heard in a professional, international arena. ISC is designed to nurture the musical talent of songwriters on all levels and promote excellence in the art of songwriting. Amateur and professional songwriters and musicians are invited to participate. ISC has the most prestigious panel of judges of all the songwriting and music contests in the world, offering exposure and the opportunity to have your songs heard by the most influential decision-makers in the music industry.
Below is an excerpt from their e-mail this morning:
Dear Clementine,
We are pleased to inform you that the song “Bread And Circuses”, entered into the Folk/Singer-Songwriter category, has been selected as a semi-finalist in the 2010 International Songwriting Competition (ISC). Congratulations on this achievement!
Although the song was not selected as a finalist, because of the increased competitiveness this year, the status of semi-finalist is an exceptionally noteworthy achievement.
Thank you very much for your participation in ISC. We wish you all the best and much success with your songwriting.
Best Regards,
Candace Avery
Founder/Director
