Wanderlust Now Available For An Immediate Cause

In a twist of fate, the supposedly exciting release of our new single Wanderlust was greeted with mishap as one of our band mates suffers the fate of displacement brought about by relentless monsoon rains and floods the height of a giant. He shares the same fate of hundreds, possibly a million Filipinos battling the deadly landscape in and around Manila.

This prompted us, together with our record label and production team, to campaign for a disaster relief through our music by accepting pledges and giving seventy-five percent of Wanderlust’s digital sales to this cause.

Wanderlust is now available under Lilystars Records exclusively on their Bandcamp store. It will support the promotion of our upcoming Southeast Asian Backpack Tour from August to September. Here’s an excerpt of the news item from Lilystars Records’ website:

Pay $1 (or more) for a song, save a life

Starting noon today until midnight on Sept. 30, each purchase of “Wanderlust” will contribute to relief efforts organized by DAKILA -Philippine Collective for Modern Heroism (www.dakila.org.ph), together with Ride & Rock Relief (www.facebook.com/RideRockRelief).

DAKILA is a group of artists and individuals fostering social consciousness in the promotion of societal change; meanwhile, Ride and Rock Relief is a collaborative project of DAKILA, in partnership with other like-minded organizations, which pools care packages and basic necessities for calamity victims.

“Wanderlust” is made available at a flat rate of $1 (USD) on Lilystars Records’ official store/merch site powered by Bandcamp. However, buyers who wish to be more generous may choose to pay more than the asking price of $1 — in short, as much as they can afford to give to the flood victims in exchange for a song — by directly purchasing “Wanderlust” via Lilystars Records.

The pledged money will be used to buy relief goods that will be delivered to calamity victims in the various evacuation centers. Local buyers may also opt to participate and witness the exchange of goods and volunteer in relief operations. Buy this track now by following this link:

Downloads are available in MP3 320, FLAC, MP3 VBR (V0), AAC, Ogg Vorbis or ALAC format. Read the full story here: http://bit.ly/Tj1YXT

We are currently reaching out to family members,  friends, followers, music fans for their immediate contribution to this relief drive in exchange for a well produced single that encapsulates our “simple desire” to experience what life has to offer, people and places that appeals to us, the mystery and the magic of new sights and sound, as well as the risks that goes with it.

The first 100 buyers of Wanderlust will receive a postcard with a thank you note signed by the four of us via snail mail. Watch out for further announcement for the full details of our SEA tour or subscribe to our email updates.
